Pros: It's pretty easy to determine what terms/ideas will be tested.
Cons: Incredibly boring lectures. She reads them verbatim. (although a pro to this is that I found it very easily to justify skipping lectures and it didn't affect my grade - I got an A-).
There are three ~5 page papers.
My T.A. (Tess) had us turn in journals each week during discussion. They were 1 page long and we had to reflect on the readings for that week.

Pros: Very passionate about her subject
Cons: Very hard to concentrate as she expect the students to get everything out of her lecture. It's hard to know what to study for the exam.

Pros: Easy course if you read the textbook and the documents, a lot of students take this course so it's easy to get help
Cons: Very unorganized in her lectures, very frantic way of teaching, the TA's aren't even aware of what American History is, they major in other nation's histories.
