Decent job explaining stuff.
Cons: Accent is so hard to understand.
Sorta disorganized.
Unnecessary Jokes.
He's a really nice guy.
He asks us to call him "Giri".
He does a decent job explaining stuff with models/kits.
That being said, he's quite disorganized.
He's quite difficult to understand often times.
Also, he makes jokes with straight face, in which i didn't find quite funny (yet, good distraction/break from the long lecture).
Clickers are almost a bonus. Attend the lecture and do all of them.
Cons: Very long class (I had a discussion before the lecture, and then the lecture was 2hrs long on Mondays). Also he does clicker questions. His exams are fairly hard, and I usually never have enough time for them.
Great teacher, probably one of the best physics one. Even though it is general physics, he taught it well and made it challenging, but sometimes I dont need that because I am also taking 18 credits this semester. OH WELL.
Cons: Lecture can get kind of boring, but that's obvious with any physics class.
Cons: he is a little hard to understand
he gives quizzes in discussion and makes the TA take attendance each week
Cons: His exams were very hard.
Maryland has terrible physics professors. Giri is one of the better ones.
Cons: easily distracted and doesnt get through material for common final
Cons: his teaching style is not good if you like to take neat notes, he is all over the place and tells a lot of random stories that waste time
Cons: None really. A lot of HW
