Cons: - turn stuff in on time
- multiple essays, probably 3 or 4
- in lectures, he gives long speeches. He talks well.
- show up for discussion and talk in it to boost your grade to an A.
- said he was going to stop teaching this class, though.

David Wyatt's class is somewhat boring, but I suspect that it is hard to make English literature interesting for non English majors.
His ideas did not seem novel and if you read spark notes and attend lecture you will notice significant overlap.
Wyatt really does love literature and tries to make a connection of how literature applies to the real world.
Discussion seemed as if it should be made optional rather than madatory because there wasn't significant questions raised (however, this may have just been my TA and I can't say it is a reflection upon him).
Overall, I'd say that this class is very possible to achieve a "B" with modest effort as there are two outside papers, a midterm, and a final. Both exams you are allowed to use any notes and texts.

Just a lecturer, no questions, awkward pop quizzes in class, but he says the answer before u turn ur paper in so you can just wait until he says it and write the answer. Lots of reading that a lot of people didnt do, and still did OK. If you do read and take extensive notes, you will do fine. PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSION, if the TA knows what your thinking they'll understand your papers better.
