Cons: Hard exams
Boring lecture
More difficult than other professors
He's a nice guy, but harsh grader. People didn't do too well, and he still didn't add a curve at the end. You're better off taking another professor.
Cons: expects everyone to be in graduate school level. His tests are insanely hard.
Cons: His lecturing can be a bit snooze-worthy at times (though most of the time the topic is good enough that it isn't sleep-inducing).
Cons: Long colloquium
Colloquium is long, but you don't do much, so you should be fine.
Cons: tests are difficult
such a nice teacher, cares about students
Cons: *Powerpoints contains overview like information, but the tests are very detailed
I don't think this is the class that he normally teaches. He is a nice man, but his class was way to difficult for a intro course. Most of his tests are not multiple choice (only about 10 questions). A lot of short answer. Very picky with the answers accepted.
not much hw except online quizzes
Cons: so much material to learn
Cons: His tests expect to much based on the material he goes over in lecture. Expect application questions and a lot of stress on applying molecular structures to questions. Little to no multiple choice questions. Most difficult teacher in course.
Cons: 80% study guide for test has nothing to do with the test.
Test is way more in depth than the study guide and all short answer with about 5 multiple choice, which is rediculous
Cons: The subject is just awful if Biology isn't your thing, and mind-numbingly repetitive if it is. He knows that, he does what he can.
A real sweetie, stopped and chatted with me for a few minutes every time I ran into him in the Bio-Psych building.
Cons: His tests are famously difficult in the biology department. He diffuses responsibility to his TA's as often as possible and doesnt like dealing with students face-to-face.
Cons: Gets boring
Necessary for scholars, just go for 2 hours a week and pick up your A
Cons: Not a good lecturer. Learned way more in GSS than class.
Cons: didn't finish material, expected us to learn it ourselves the day before the exam
Cons: His review sheets are nothing like the actual tests.
Cons: Seemed a bit too dependent on the students reading from the textbook
Not a bad class if you pay attention
Cons: His exams were ridiculous and then he complained that half the class was failing and he didn't know why.
Cons: tests very difficult, hardly any multiple choice
