Pros: I found her bearable. But I didn't go to class. I still got an A+ though. Read the textbook like it's your bible and you'll do incredibly well. Forget about her watered down PowerPoints. She is friendly and approachable. Her tests are not bad if you know your stuff -- i.e. study.
Cons: She is a bit of a boring lecturer. Her powerpoints are stupid.

Pros: Conceptually, the class is interesting because we get to focus on real and current economic situations. It's a real eye-opening class and we get to talk about politics and whatnot. The independent paper is easy to manage on and the group paper is okay as long as your groupmates do their work. Otherwise, she's easy when she interrogates our presentation and asks pretty easy questions for our understanding.
Cons: She goes off on tangents. The midterms and final are all multiple choice but it's so tricky to answer them because sometimes two answers can be right. She picks on you and if you can't answer correctly, she embarrasses you in front of everyone and calls on you again the next day.

Cons: Everything is out of the book, so read the chapters carefully and review the online material (pwpts) and the homework since most questions come from them.

Hadler is a complete dumbass, who pauses every 10 words she says to think about what to say next. Take the other teacher.

Pros: It's macro-econ so if you want to understand a big part of how the world works, this class will tell it to you.
Cons: The professor is horrible. I had read reviews going into this class that said she was bad but I had read that for a few others and they turned out great so I thought I'd give her a shot. Bad idea! The worst teacher I have ever had! She doesn't seem to really understand the material and she reads straight off her slides which are sometimes incorrect by HER OWN admittance! Multiple times throughout the semester she told us that she could be wrong, just read the textbook to get the right answers. She continued to have microphone problems that took up the first 10 min of class every time. She was hard to hear for most students even though I sat in the 5th row. She tried to explain concepts but got confused and said she didn't know what she was talking about. She continuously related everything to Britain and the British pound currency, this is of course because she's British and has a strong old lady British accent. She refused to give us our exams back so we just had to look up the results on ELMS and couldn't argue whether or not our grades were correct. Overall, if there's another professor available, take them because although this is a good class in general, the professor is downright awful and that's being generous.

Terrible teacher, does not teach anything that is on the test. Lectures are terrible youre better off not attending and just reading your book. Most the class figured this out by the 2nd lecture as only 30 people out of 300 show up on a regular basis... with a class attendance rate of 10% you can guess how bad she is... check out ourumd DOT edu for more reviews on her

Pros: May get to review your online quizzes and guarantee yourself a 100% on the second attempt
-if you know econ, you dont have to go
Cons: Boring Class
Professor Hadler is educated on her subject...i think. Its hard to tell, seeing as she sounds like she's talking with a mouth full of pudding. I've had brtish instructors before, but I plainly just couldnt understand her. When you cant understand your professor, theres really no point in going to class at all. I've managed to almost guarantee myself a B, by never going and studying for the tests 2 to 3 days before them. There are some tough online quizzes but Hadler seems to not care that you can click the review button after taking it, therefore allowing you to see where you went wrong and correct on your second of 2 attempts to take the quiz.
Overall, its not too bad of a class if you have any kind of background in economics and read the text book. If you like going to class and taking notes, think twice before signing up for her class.
